Discussion on book piracy in Uganda

On the 16th of August 2023, a section of members of the Uganda Publishers Association met Uganda Registration Services Bureau to discuss on the way forward to end book piracy in Uganda. Several strategies were agreed upon, covering legal and technological ways as well as the need for collaborations with the Ministry of Education and Sports. Publishers set a six months period within which all their books on the open market will have a Uganda Reproduction Rights Organization hologram to ease enforcement. We have to end book piracy of Ugandan published books once and for all!
